The EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR) is a macro-regional strategy adopted by the European Commission in December 2010 and endorsed by the European Council in 2011. The Strategy was jointly developed by the Commission, together with the Danube Region countries and stakeholders, in order to address common challenges together. The Strategy seeks to create synergies and coordination between existing policies and initiatives taking place across the Danube Region.
The Strategy is not about funding, it is about closer cooperation!
The Danube Region Strategy addresses a wide range of issues; these are divided among 4 Pillars and 12 Priority Areas; and of course actions and projects.
The Danube Region Countries are:
EU Member States
Accession Countries
Neighbouring Countries
This event (and the possibility for long-term virtual matchmaking meetings) is organised by the EUSDR "Priority Area 7" focused on the development of the "Knowledge Society" required by the Danube region researchers and initiated by the results of last years survey on "Participation of the Danube Region Countries in Horizon 2020" and its further "Recommendations for Increasing Participation in the EU Framework Programme for R&I HORIZON EUROPE".
The analysis on the participation of researchers from the Danube Region in Horizon 2020 will be presented at the Info day.
